Ukraine should have the right to use Western weapons to strike targets in Russia, according to Polish Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk.

According to him, there should be no restrictions.

"Russia does what it wants today, while Ukraine is somehow being restricted by some countries; this must be stopped. Poland's position is clear: Ukraine should have the ability to fight with the equipment it receives, and Poland does not object to this," he said, acknowledging that few countries share this position.

Ukraine's strikes on Russian territory with Western weapons

In recent weeks, there has been an active discussion about allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons to strike military targets located in Russia.

According to the latest data, European Union countries have begun to permit Ukraine to strike Russian territory. Specifically, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has called on EU countries to approve Ukraine's strikes on Russia with Western weapons.

However, opinions among international representatives on this issue are divided. The US State Department stated that they do not encourage and do not provide opportunities for Ukraine to strike beyond its borders.

Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine considers the restrictions on using Western weapons against Russia on its territory to be unfair, but Kyiv cannot risk losing the support of its allies.
