The £50 million man has also faced future legends like Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.

But when quizzed about the best player he has ever played against in his career, Kyle Walker named both Neymar and Eden Hazard.

In the latest episode of BBC’s You’ll Never Beat Kyle Walker, he said: “I think it’s more not do things differently but you don’t know what they’re going to do. Like it’s off the cuff, it’s like they’re playing in a playground.”

“So, there’s two people that stand out for me, that are Neymar and [Eden] Hazard. They were the two people that you didn’t know what they were going to do.”

“They’re just enjoying themselves, aren’t they? Just enjoying themselves.”

Kyle Walker has faced both Neymar and Eden Hazard on several occasions — arguably two of the best left-wingers in world football over the past decade apart from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kyle Walker had great battles with Neymar and Eden Hazard

There seems to be a sense of mutual respect between all parties involved.

In September 2022, Neymar told DAZN Canada that Kyle Walker is the toughest defender he has ever come up against.

Eden Hazard also named the Englishman as his hardest opponent during his spell in the Premier League via ESPN UK.

Kyle Walker had great battles against both Neymar and Hazard.

Both wingers had a fearless approach against the 34-year-old as they would try to take him on, drag him away from his position and produce skills and flicks.

The Brazilian would often drift into central areas, running the show, as he did against Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final in 2021.

But Kyle Walker would largely ensure that when he came up against Neymar and Eden Hazard, they would have a tough time.

Walker would use his incredible pace and strength as his aggressive approach and unique athleticism meant he came out on top in several of those battles.
