YouTuber convinces fans she's going on Love Island as she 'stirs the pot' once again

YouTuber Anastasia Kingsnorth has convinced Love Island fans she’s heading into the villa. It’s not the first time she’s pranked her loyal following, but this time people think it’s for real.

As the Love Island singletons are announced, Anastasia Kingsnorth is jumping on the bandwagon, sharing a promo pic of her posing in a bikini, and walking into the villa in a sassy way only Maya Jama pulls off.

Anastasia Kingsnorth’s Love Island prank

Anastasia Kingsnorth pretends she’s going on Love Island every single year. Somehow, she convinces far and few each time, because she uses snippets from entering the actual villa one time for PR purposes.

She even had former islander, Chloe Burrows asking, “WAIT IS THIS REAL,” as well as convinced TikTokker, Max Balegde, to write, “Omg guys I heard she’s actually going in this year!!!”

The entire thing is fake and a way of promoting the show to cause excitement. She is besties and the co-host of the Sex Lies and DM Slides Podcast, with Saffron Barker, whose BFF, Hannah, is entering the villa.

YouTuber fools fans every year

Each year, Anastasia pretends she’s going on Love Island. Last year, she went on holiday at the same time the show hit ITV, which convinced everyone she was actually going in for real.

One fan wrote, “Does this every year we all know she not going in 😂😂😂😂😂,” while another penned, “She does this every year it’s boring now 😴 like really!!”

Like the other contestants, her bio doesn’t say, “Off to find love in the @loveisland villa!” However, she could potentially be a Casa Amor star, but then she wouldn’t be allowed to announce her entrance.

Book promos stop fans in tracks

With three book signings for her new book, Relationship Status, just next week, many fans are convinced Anastasia is simply just trying to be relevant as the excitement for Love Island arrives.

She announced the book on Valentine’s Day following the end of a relationship last year, which is focused on dating, friendships and being single in today’s day and age.

One fan wrote, “I may have fallen for this if she didn’t have 3 book signings next week.” As Anastasia works with ITV, the partnership means she’s required to support the show every year.
