Report: £34m Liverpool player's agent starts speaking to another club about him, more talks planned

Liverpool could be set to lose a couple of players over the course of the summer window.

Although there are no glaring members of the Liverpool squad who could do with being sold, interest is coming from elsewhere.

So far, a lot of the talk has – as it was last year – been about overtures from Saudi Arabia.

Doubt still remains over Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield, while supporters will be sweating having seen Alisson Becker strongly linked, too.

Away from that pair, there have been suggestions that a move elsewhere in Europe could come for Luis Diaz. And according to the Italian press, another Liverpool player is courting interest from the continent.

AC Milan speaking to Ryan Gravenberch agent

Wednesday has brought quotes from Caoimhin Kelleher that suggest he is likely to move on from Liverpool this summer.

On top of Kelleher – and the others being linked away – Arne Slot can scarcely afford to lose too many more of his squad.

One area in which Liverpool are well-stocked however is in midfield. Although he won’t want to lose anybody, Slot could conceivably manage without one.

And according to Calciomercato, AC Milan are interested in making Ryan Gravenberch a former Liverpool player.

They claim that Milan have met with the agent of Gravenberch – Enzo Raiola – to discuss two different potential summer signings.

During the conversation, the Liverpool midfielder reportedly came up, with the Italians said to have expressed their appreciation of Gravenberch. The Dutchman is claimed to be a long-term target for Milan.

Thankfully for Liverpool, the finances involved in a possible deal are said to be ‘unfavourable’ to the Rossoneri just now. As a result, nothing concrete materialised. Nevertheless, Raiola reportedly ‘promised’ Milan that they’ll be kept informed over Gravenberch’s situation.

Will Ryan Gravenberch leave Liverpool?

It isn’t a surprise to hear that other clubs around Europe are fans of Gravenberch. He also reportedly has admirers in Turkey.

Despite that though, it’s evident that the 22-year-old will not be leaving Liverpool this summer.

Gravenberch has already expressed his desire to stay and make his mark with the Reds. Milan also don’t seem ready to make a move.

If the Netherlands international has another lukewarm season, you could see Liverpool cutting their losses and selling next summer.

But having spent £34m on Gravenberch in September, he’s going nowhere for the moment.

If that changes though, keep an eye on Milan.
