Personal trainer's warning for Ozempic users as he says 'the days of dieting is over'

A personal trainer has stated that the days of dieting could be over due to the rise of Ozempic, a semaglutide injection that was originally designed for people with type 2 diabetes but is now being used to tackle obesity.

However, the fitness expert warns people that while Ozempic and other weight loss injections suppress appetite, weight training, and gym workouts will be more important as fad diets disappear, to maintain a physique.

Personal trainer claims Ozempic users are losing their whole physique

Amir Siddiqui, a US strength and conditioning coach in Dubai, took to social media to speak about semaglutide, a medication (such as Ozempic and Mounjaro) that is gaining traction in the weight management space.

Ozempic, a brand name for semaglutide, is a diabetes medication (also known as an incretin mimetic) that is recommended for people with type 2 diabetes but is now being used to tackle obesity.

Over on TikTok, Ozempic has gone viral as people claim that multiple public figures have supposedly used this method to help with weight loss.

In the Instagram clip, Siddiqui explains that semaglutide “basically mimics the hormone that’s released when you eat, which makes training that much more important.”

The expert states that people taking the prescription weight-loss drug are realizing that they are not just losing weight, they’re also “losing their whole physique including their muscle mass and bone mass.”

Dieting could be over, but training is even more important

Ozempic and other weight loss injections suppress appetite, but it doesn’t burn fat, gain muscle, or make someone ‘fitter.’

Amir Siddiqui states that the medication is not fat-burning, but rather “they are satiety-producing hormones.” Satiety is the satisfied feeling of being full after eating.

The coach predicts that weight training and gym workouts will become more important as fad diets disappear.
