West Ham struck gold with £38m Tim Steidten signing now worth more than Victor Osimhen

After some excellent business by Tim Steidten, West Ham United are now said to have a player on their books worth more than Victor Osimhen.

With Julen Lopetegui at the helm, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if West Ham marked their fresh new era by bringing in a striker.

The department looks rather stale at the club right now, even if 34-year-old Michail Antonio is often still effective.

But with Danny Ings rumoured to leave and Divin Mubama still very inexperienced, it surely has to be a priority area for the club to address.

Fortunately, in this new look West Ham set up, Tim Steidten is thought to have more influence than ever, something that should bode well.

Steidten endured a fractious start with David Moyes, the two reportedly couldn’t agree on their transfer strategy.

But either way, the Hammers were still able to make some exceptional signings, the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez.

And via a new report, Kudus could now be worth double the £38m%20including%20add%2Dons.&text=West%20Ham%20will%20pay%20an,performance%2Drelated%20add%2Dons.) West Ham paid to bring him in.

Mohammed Kudus now worth more than Jarrod Bowen and Victor Osimhen

Football Observatory have just shared their list ranking the 100 most valuable players across the world.

Remarkably, Jarrod Bowen didn’t even make the list, a player West Ham would surely demand more than £100m for in order to sell.

But Kudus was there, and was ranked fairly high at €89.6m, which is roughly £76m.

Victor Osimhen, one of Europe’s biggest names right now and a player consistently linked with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal was below Kudus at €85.6m (£73m) – testament to West Ham’s good work.

A signing inspired by Steidten’s work, Kudus’ move has been a huge success, a player who promises to be key under Lopetegui.

The 23-year-old reportedly signed a contract until the summer of 2028 with the club as well, meaning West Ham are in a strong position should Kudus’ form attract attention.

It’s certainly an important summer for the Hammers to get right, they need to give Lopetegui the necessary tools to succeed.

As although so many of the players mentioned, Alvarez, Bowen, Kudus are exceptional talents, this West Ham squad doesn’t necessarily appear well balanced.

That being said, TBR Football has exclusively shared that West Ham have become interested in signing another Ajax player this summer, who has just been put up for sale.
