Report: Attacker who is even faster than Gabriel Martinelli is now Arsenal’s top transfer target

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for a new striker for quite some time now.

The Gunners are said to be very keen to bring in a new centre-forward to bolster their frontline heading into this summer’s transfer window.

The likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Ivan Toney have been linked, but according to The Mirror, there’s another striker who is now Arsenal’s top target.

Benjamin Sesko is Arsenal’s top target

According to The Mirror, Benjamin Sesko is the man Arsenal want above anyone else.

This report from John Cross states that the RB Leipzig striker is at the top of Arsenal’s shortlist.

The striker has a £55m release clause in his contract, so this is a very doable deal from a financial perspective.

Sesko is said to be the player Arsenal are most keen on, but what would they be getting if they actually signed the striker?

Sesko a complete striker

Benjamin Sesko is very much a complete striker.

In recent years we’ve seen the emergence of many of these strikers in the same mould, fast, tall players who are brilliant in front of goal.

The likes of Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak and Darwin Nunez are all key players in the Premier League in that mould, and Sesko is cut from that same cloth.

Standing at 6 ft 4 and clocking in a higher top speed than players such as Gabriel Martinelli, Sesko is very much the modern striker.

He’s big, he’s fast, he’s strong and he can finish.

At the age of just 20, of course, he’s not the finished product as a footballer, but from a physical perspective, he’s already one of the most dominant footballers on the continent.

With the right coaching, Sesko could become a superstar, and perhaps he will take that next step at Arsenal if a move comes to fruition this summer.
