Arsenal will bring ‘excellent’ 15-goal Hale End gem on pre-season tour, but he could still leave

Arsenal are expected to bring a Hale End gem on their pre-season tour of the United States this summer after a fantastic year.

The Gunners will once again return to America this off-season with Arsenal currently slated to play Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool in Los Angeles and Philadelphia respectively.

With the Euros taking place beforehand, Arsenal fans will not be bored this summer with the Copa America also being hosted in the States before the Gunners take off for America at the end of July.

And a Hale End prospect is now expected to be named in the travelling squad.

Mika Biereth to be named in Arsenal’s pre-season squad

According to Kronen Zeitung, Mika Biereth is due to be named in Arsenal’s pre-season squad, with the Gunners expected to evaluate the 21-year-old striker before making a transfer decision.

As per the report, Sturm Graz are ready to sign Biereth on a permanent deal this summer after the Danish youth international played a key role in the Austrian side winning the league title.

With 15 goals in all competitions this season, Biereth has been one of Arsenal’s most productive loanees this year having impressed at Motherwell before being recalled and shipped to Sturm Graz in January.

Hailed by Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell as an ‘excellent’ prospect, Biereth joining up with Arsenal’s senior squad for pre-season could be huge in the striker winning over admirers at the club, and good performances in the States could also spark more transfer interest in the striker.

Biereth knows this summer will be make or break for his Arsenal career

Biereth is approaching a major crossroads in his career after his best season yet in the senior game, with the striker set to choose between staying at Arsenal or looking to forge his own path elsewhere.

With Sturm Graz in the UEFA Champions League and willing to pay to bring Biereth back to Austria, a return to Styria would make a lot of sense for the striker, who could flourish in a new permanent home.

However, with Arsenal in need of a striker, Biereth could be that player who steps up to take the role with both hands, with the attacker clearly good enough to play at the highest level in Europe.
