'Honestly': ESPN pundit claims Arne Slot should sell one Liverpool player if £100m offer comes in

Liverpool fans are preparing for the changing of the guard in the Anfield dugout this summer after a somewhat disappointing season.

The Reds did, however, manage to clinch a Champions League place, while they also won the League Cup.

But there was disappointment in the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League in Jurgen Klopp’s final season.

The German has now said his farewells after a superb spell on Merseyside, although he does have one major regret.

That was, however, out of his hands, with Klopp frustrated at not having been able to celebrate his Premier League success properly due to the pandemic.

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has now shared his thoughts on the matter, and believes Salah is the most likely attacker to leave the club this summer.

“I honestly believe that probably Mohamed Salah would be top of the list,” Nicol told ESPN. “Listen, if you’re going to get £100m for him, I think you take it. You need a squad.”

Will Mohamed Salah leave Liverpool this summer?

There are many questions surrounding the future of the Egypt winger, with the main one being where he will be playing his football next season.

He endured a difficult ending to the campaign, but so did the majority of his teammates and indeed Klopp.

Still, the attacker ended the season with 25 goals and 14 assists in all competitions, proving just how valuable he is in the final third.

Another issue remains regarding his potential fee, with Liverpool set to demand more than £100million from Saudi Pro League clubs for his sale this summer.

Slot seemingly already has a replacement lined up, with PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko wanted at Anfield if Salah does move on.
