West Ham aren’t messing about here either it seems, and have gone in with a really strong opening offer for someone who is totally unproven, relatively speaking.
That’s according to football journalist Jorge Nicola, who claims that the Hammers have made a stunning £21 million bid for Luis Guilherme.
That really is a monster bid to be making for someone who has no proven track record of performing consistently at the very highest level.

The teenager was born in Aracaju on the east coast of Brazil in 2006.
Guilherme has been with Palmeiras since he was just 11, and has progressed through the ranks at rapid speed.
The 18-year-old is a left-footed right winger by trade but can also play on the left, or in the number 10 position.
Guilherme is technically brilliant, as most Brazilians are, and plays with a real kind of fearlessness that makes him so unpredictable.
The Palmeiras winger is at his best when cutting inside from the right onto his favoured left foot.
He has been described as the new ‘Ronaldinho’ (Yahoo) – that’s quite the praise.
If West Ham manage to sign Luis Guilherme this summer, it will be a huge statement of intent in my eyes, in spite of his obvious lack of experience.
One thing he’ll definitely add to Lopetegui’s current options is explosiveness and directness inside the final third. Please make this one happen, I’m really keeping my fingers crossed!
