BBC Question Time slammed by furious viewers for 'obvious bias' as Nigel Farage and Piers Morgan go head to head

BBC Question Time viewers were left furious and threatening to switch off from the episode after they claimed the show had become biased with their choice to invite Reform UK's Honorary President Nigel Farage and Broadcaster Piers Morgan onto the show.

During their appearance, Farage and Morgan found themselves in a heated debate after the Reform ally was slammed by an audience member on his decision not to stand in the General Election.

After the pair started squabbling and having an outright row, host Fiona Bruce interjected and told the pair to end their bitter argument.

Whilst the audience was keen to get their questions to the panel and grill the pair, many watching at home were left unimpressed and claimed the BBC were being obviously "biased".

Taking to their X accounts, one commented: "I've given up on BBCQT due to its obvious bias towards left-wing politics, including the audience. The one time someone on the right appears, the left has a seizure....."

Another added: "More BBC bias with the location of #bbcqt tonight? Epsom College a private Boarding School. How about using other locations to host #bbcqt NHS Hospital? State School? Blackpool? or any of other coastal towns, contaminated with raw sewage for a change."

Fiona Bruce

Someone else said: "Fiona Bruce reminded me tonight why I stopped watching #bbcqt many moons ago. She can't help but show her political colours."

"BBC carefully selected left-wing audience," a fourth expressed before a fifth stated: "The anti-Farage bias on #bbcqt is so cringe. So telling though. The publicly funded BBC cannot stand him."

One annoyed viewer quipped: "That was the most unbalanced #bbcqt for a long time. 5 guests, 4 men 2 TV hosts not standing for election."

Unable to continue watching, another penned: "Fiona Bruce is a disgrace. Typical BBC bias. She allowed it to be the Wes Streety show and constantly cut off @Nigelfarage."

Question Time

"You have to put it to #bbcqt Tory MP, Nigel Farage and Piers Morgan make up for the blatant left-wing bias shown by inviting Wes Streeting," another claimed. (sic)

During their time on the show, Farage hit back at Morgan after he claimed he "bottled" the major election decision, something that Farage didn't take lightly.

Farage scolded the broadcaster over his comment and hit back: "You've never stood in an election!" and added that he had bigger things to think about, including the NHS.

"It actually isn’t working anymore, we’ve increased what we’re spending on the NHS and we’re not getting the delivery. The French have a mutual system where those who can afford to pay effectively into an insurance scheme, those that can’t afford it are covered, and they are getting a much better return.

Piers Morgan

"We need to fundamentally rethink how we fund the NHS."

Morgan quipped back at Farage, and claimed that the Honorary President has "had all year" to prepare an election campaign before Farage responded: "I have a nightly TV show - yours has been shut down, but mine is still going!"
