Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 31: 1390 troops and 39 artillery systems

The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1390 Russian invaders over the day. The total Russian losses in personnel since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine have already amounted to about 507,650 military personnel, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to May 31, 2024, are:

  • personnel - 507650 (+1390) Russian troops were killed;
  • tanks - 7728 (+18) units
  • armored combat vehicles - 14935 (+22) units;
  • artillery systems - 13140 (+39) units;
  • MLRS - 1088 units;
  • air defense systems - 815 units;
  • airplanes - 357 units;
  • helicopters - 326 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 10587 (+55) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2229 (+7) units;
  • ships/boats - 27 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tankers - 17905 (+56) units;
  • special equipment - 2164 (+11) units.

The Institute for the Study of War predicts that Russian troops are likely to launch the second phase of their offensive in the north of the Kharkiv region after the planned capture of Vovchansk.

However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have recently regained positions within Vovchansk.
