An interview with one of Donald Trump's most rabid supporters in Congress went off the rails on Friday morning after CNN host Kate Bolduan tried to get a word in edgewise as he ranted about the conviction of the former president on 34 felony counts in a Manhattan court on Thursday.
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), who has a criminal history of his own, spent a great portion of his CNN interview railing at Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for prosecuting newly-convicted Trump, and when Bolduan attempted to clear up some of his misrepresentations, he snapped "Hold on!" at her and then continued to talk over her.
After admitting that he is not a lawyer, Donalds accused Bragg of convicting Trump, which led Bolduan to interject, "Alvin Bragg is not the jury," only to have the GOP lawmaker blurt, "Hold on! But this is important because this is what the jury hears when they're in the courtroom, they're hearing from a prosecution team put together just to get Donald Trump."

In another exchange, Bolduan attempted to point out that the same "weaponized" DOJ he was trashing was taking Hunter Biden "to trial next week," only to have Donalds to once again interrupt her with "Hold on" while he ranted about the GOP's investigation of President Joe Biden's son. That in turn led the two to talk over each again.
