Report: 'Complete' and 'dangerous' striker linked with West Ham this year could now be signed for just £30m

West Ham United will be eager to bolster their ranks this summer after an underwhelming season last time out.

The Hammers finished ninth in the Premier League table in 2023/24 and have sadly missed out on European qualification.

A new era also beckons at West Ham, with Julen Lopetegui set to replace David Moyes in the Hammers dugout.

West Ham could really do with strengthening their attack this summer in order to ease Michail Antonio’s goalscoring burden.

Now, a striker who the Hammers were linked with in January is being heavily tipped for a change of clubs this summer.

The player in question is Chelsea’s Armando Broja, who seems to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Back in January, Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport: “West Ham have always been big admirers of the player.”

Broja ended up joining Fulham on a loan until the end of the season, but he barely played and failed to score for the Cottagers.

Now, according to talkSPORT, Chelsea have lowered their asking price for their player from £50million to just £30million.

Broja is currently a player in demand. Monaco, AC Milan, Stuttgart, Wolves, Everton and Crystal Palace are all in pursuit, according to the report.

West Ham have the chance to kickstart Armando Broja career

Admittedly, Broja’s numbers this season don’t make for great reading, but at 22 years old, he still has his whole career ahead of him.

Out-of-form players can often turn out to be bargains if whoever signs them can coach them and man-manage them properly.

Broja is a talented player and, with the right guidance, he should be able to do a good job for West Ham.

Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig sung his praises on X in 2022, deeming him a “complete” forward who’s a “clinical finisher” and “dangerous in the air”.

Sadly he was out for much of last year with an ACL injury and struggled to catch up for the rest of the season.

With a full pre-season under him, Broja will hopefully be back to his best. Let’s see whether West Ham will rekindle their interest in him.
