Hello, Friday. It’s good to see you again. Did you know the next time we celebrate Friday, you can celebrate it with the Kentucky Wildcats in Eastern Kentucky?

The 15 Club NIL collective is hosting the First Friday Fanfest in beautiful Downtown Ashland, KY from 6-9 pm EST on June 7. Players will be posing for pictures and signing autographs at tables for a few hours, then spend quality time just hanging out with the Big Blue Nation. There’s a loaded roster for this summer event.

  • QB Brock Vandagriff
  • DL Deone Walker
  • WR Barion Brown
  • EDGE JJ Weaver
  • WR Ja’Mori Maclin
  • CB Max Hairston
  • TE Josh Kattus
  • DL Jacob and Jerod Smith
  • DL Octavious Oxendine
  • QB Cutter Boley
  • LB D’Eryk Jackson

That’s only about half of the players who will be in Ashland next Friday. Mark your calendars and make plans to see the Kentucky football squad at the First Friday Fanfest.

Two Quarterback Things

This week Bush Hamdan set his sights on California to offer a scholarship to a quarterback. Troy Huhn is a four-star talent in the 2026 recruiting class, ranked by On3 as the No. 60 rising junior in America. It’s not that crazy to imagine a Cali kid at Kentucky. After all, one of Stoops’ best quarterbacks was from Rancho Cucamonga, Stephen Johnson. Coen recruited players from the Northeast. Hamdan is working his connections on the West Coast.

Hamdan already has two quarterbacks committed in the Wildcats’ Top 25 2025 class. This week Brennen Ward was delivering darts at a 7-on-7 event at the home of Neil Armstrong in Wapakoneta, OH.

Four-Star Kentucky Visitor

There will be a long list of prospects flooding the Kentucky campus over the next month. One of those is 2026 cornerback Kamden Jennings. A 5-10.5 athlete from Alpharetta, GA, Jennings is making the trip to Lexington next weekend. He’s a four-star talent who ranks just inside the Top 247 rankings in the rising junior class.

Darren Waller is Down Bad

The New York Giants tight end is wrapping up a high-profile divorce with Kelsey Plum by revealing she was the one who dumped him by putting out the saddest music video in the history of digital recording. Buddy blasted the autotune on high, then stuck his face in the sand. He’s got it bad.

Four Kentucky Football Podcasts

Need something better to listen to than Darren Waller? In addition to this week’s edition of 11 Personnel, I made a couple of cameos on other shows. I spent some time talking Kentucky football on The Solid Verbal, then kicked it with SEC Mike and Cousin Shane on That SEC Podcast. If you prefer to hear from someone else, might I suggest a Kentucky football preview with Cole Cubelic?
