Manchester United lifted the FA Cup a week ago today, but now fans have been left baffled as three players miss out on the Team of the Season.
After a tiresome season, Manchester United finished on the highest height possible by defeating Manchester City at Wembley and lifting silverware in the process.
The 2-1 win was a landmark for the club and arguably the greatest moment that the fans have been treated to post-Sir Alex Ferguson, considering who the win came against and the trophy lifted.
The run to the final was equally as memorable and was actually a bit of a rollercoaster.
Squeezing past Coventry on Penalties in the semi-final, the incredible 4-3 win over Liverpool in the quarters, a last-minute winner over Nottingham Forest in the fifth round, a 4-2 over Newport in the fourth and then beating Wigan.
Now a week on from the final, the competition’s Team of the Season has been revealed, and there are some notable exclusions from the team.
How many Manchester United players are in the FA Cup Team of the Season
On Friday, the team of the season was announced and there were three Manchester United players named in the squad, which seems like a low number considering it was United who lifted the trophy.
Andre Onana, Raphael Varane and Diogo Dalot were representing United, while there were six Coventry City players.
While it was fan-voted, there were three United players who were robbed of their place in the team.
These three are Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho. Now the fans have had their say.

Underneath the team announcement post, United fans had their say, with one confused by Kevin de Bruyne’s inclusion: “De Bruyne again when it’s was clearly Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho’s competition”.
A second fan was also baffled by Mainoo’s exclusion: “18/19-year-old midfielder who Started 5 games in the FA Cup and scored two goals in the competition, one of them being the winning goal in the final not included? Strange.”
One fan simply wrote: “Garnacho, Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes robbed.”
While yet another was left confused at how the cup-winning goal scorer Mainoo missed out: “How’s Kobbie not on this list?”
Another argued: “Garnacho should be on the left.”
Finally, one fan pointed out the one thing that matters: “WE STILL WON SO DONT CARE BOYS”.
