Report: Liverpool now pushing to sign 'really special' winger who's worth more than Victor Osimhen

Liverpool are in the market for a new attacking player and could now make their move for a player who’s worth more than Victor Osimhen.

The Reds are looking at a busy summer as Arne Slot moves into Anfield and looks to reshape things to suit.

Players are expected to leave Anfield, with Sepp van den Berg among those who want out, while new signings are also expected to arrive.

Of course, the incomings will be important for Slot as he looks to hit the ground running.

And according to reports, Liverpool will try a raid on West Ham for one of their top stars.

Liverpool ready to push on in bid to sign Mohammed Kudus

According to a report from Football Transfers, Liverpool are really keen on Kudus and have him high on their list to replace Mohamed Salah.

There is still uncertainty over Salah, albeit he is expected to stay this summer and potentially go for nothing next summer.

Kudus, then, has emerged as a target for the Reds after a stellar first season with West Ham in the Premier League last year.

Kudus hit double figures for goals after signing for £38m%20including%20add%2Dons.&text=West%20Ham%20will%20pay%20an,performance%2Drelated%20add%2Dons.) and looks every bit ready to make the step up to a Champions League club.

Indeed, such has been his progress that reports this week from Football Observatory even ranked Kudus above Victor Osimhen in terms of market value.

Football Transfers claim that Kudus has an £85m release-clause that becomes active next year but Liverpool will try to sign him now or even in January.

Kudus a special talent who can do well at Liverpool

It’s pretty obvious that Mohammed Kudus won’t be at West Ham for too long unless they start to absolutely fly under Julen Lopetegui.

A move to Liverpool would be just the reward for Kudus and on the evidence of this season, he’d slot right into proceedings at Anfield.

Jarrod Bowen has lauded Kudus as well, claiming he is a special talent.

“He’s a really special player. We are kind of similar in terms of left footed off the right wing, so when he has the ball I kind of think what would I do, does he need me to help him or leave the space for him to go one vs one,” Bowen said.

“It’s just about knowing the players and he’s a top, top player. You see with the goal tonight, the touch and the finish, he’s really, really special.”

Liverpool, then, could end up with quite the player on their hands here.
