President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Singapore to participate in the Shangri-La Dialogue conference. He will hold several meetings here, according to his Telegram.

"Arrived in Singapore to participate in the Shangri-La Dialogue conference, a key platform for security topics in the Asia-Pacific region," he wrote.

According to the president, global security is impossible when Russia ignores recognized borders, international law, the UN Charter, and blackmails the world with hunger, darkness, and nuclear weapons.

"Restoring a just peace in Ukraine, ensuring global food and nuclear security are the tasks of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. That is why it will be important for us to hear the voice of the Asia-Pacific region there," he said.

In addition to his speech at the conference, Zelenskyy will hold a number of meetings in Singapore, including with Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Timor-Leste President José Ramos-Horta, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Singaporean investors.

Zelenskyy's visit to Singapore

Earlier, Reuters reported on Zelenskyy's visit to Singapore over the weekend.

The Russian delegation has not participated in Singapore security meetings since 2022. At the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Singapore imposed sanctions and restrictions on Russia.
