West Ham make contact with agents of South American MLS midfielder

West Ham are looking to strengthen the ranks this summer and have now reportedly touched base over one of the MLS’s top stars.

The Hammers are looking to give new manager Julen Lopetegui new players to give him the best chance of success.

So far, West Ham have been linked with a number of different players while the likes of Mohammed Kudus are also attracting attention from teams like Liverpool.

However, in terms of incomings, it looks like the Hammers’ reach knows no boundaries.

And according to reports, they have now made contact with the agents of a top MLS player.

West Ham in contact over signing Diego Gomez

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, the Hammers have made an approach to the representatives of Gomez as the look towards a potential deal.

Taking to X to confirm the news, Galetti has said that while no bid has been made as yet, there has been an interest registered with the midfielder’s close-knit group.

West Ham looking far and wide for new players

It definitely looks like West Ham are looking to back their new manager with new signings and it looks like no stone is being left unturned.

Last summer we saw the Hammers do similar as they signed players from abroad like Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus.

This summer, it looks like it’s going to be a case of being a similar approach.

Gomez is one of the most sought-after players in the MLS and has been playing a key role for Inter Miami alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and more.

A full Paraguay international, the next logical step in his career is to make the move to Europe and test himself against some of the best in the world.

Whether or not West Ham can tempt him, remains to be seen.
