Kim Kardashian’s voice causes stir
When Kim began appearing on The Kardashians, specifically in season 5, her voice caused a stir on social media. It’s led to such worry that an entire Reddit thread discussing her voice has been created.
One fan wrote, “Has Kim always sounded like she smoked a carton of Virginia Slims ? Her voice is sounding so much like Miley and wondering how that even happens !?!”
Another penned, “She’s doing the “I’m a grown woman “ voice now . Paris Hilton went through the same thing and made a statement about it. Something along the lines of baby talking being a character.”

Some fans think Kim has changed her voice “to be trendy”. A Reddit user said, “I have no doubt she’s doing it because it’s trendy (a la Paris) but I also wonder if North influenced her.”
A few times, her daughter, North West, has encouraged her mom to “use her real voice”. As a result, a viewer said, “Kim’s no parent of the year, but that stuff does stick with you when it’s your kid saying it.”

Theories on Kim’s ‘vocal fry’
In 2022, fans came up with a theory that Kim has vocal fry, a raspy, low voice that drags out certain syllables, much like Paris Hilton and Julia Fox, Kim’s ex-husband’s former girlfriend.
Kim’s light airy voice transformed into the famous “vocal fry” or low speak as the years went on. When the Kardashian sisters appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Khloe claimed their “voices were totally different”.
While looking back on earlier, iconic moments from their reality show, Kim replied: “It’s so weird.” So even the reality star herself has zero idea why her voice box has a lower tone!
