Since the beginning of June 1, 73 combat engagements have already taken place at the front. Russians are trying to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses at the Pokrovsk, Siversk, and Kurakhove directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Four combat engagements took place in the Kupiansk direction today. Two attacks were successfully repelled, two more are ongoing near Druzheliubivka. Russians are also actively using guided aerial bombs here.
Druzheliubivka suffered two strikes with guided aerial bombs and another one was dropped by the Russians on Rayhorodka. Russian aviation launched seven and 14 missiles at Tobaivka and Synkivka, respectively.
In the Siversk direction, the number of combat engagements increased to 10. Ukrainian troops repelled one attack, nine are still ongoing. The situation is under control, the General Staff assures.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops attacked with the support of aviation. The defense forces repelled four assaults by Russians in this area.
The situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains tense. Since the beginning of the day, 23 combat engagements have already taken place here. The enemy is trying to push through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense with the support of aviation. Our troops repelled 14 attacks, nine are still ongoing.
The total number of attacks in the Kurakhove direction increased to 19. The Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 13 assault actions of the Russians. Six more battles are ongoing near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vodiane, where the enemy is actively using aviation.
In the Vremivka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks by the enemy.
Three combat engagements took place in the Prydniprovskyi direction (near Krynky) since the beginning of the day. The enemy used aviation.
Ukrainian troops eliminated another 1130 Russian militants over the last day. The total losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine already amount to 508,780 soldiers.
