Liverpool face Manchester United competition for forward who’s now worth more than Victor Osimhen

Liverpool are on the hunt for new signings but could run into old foe Manchester United when it comes to one particular transfer target.

The Reds are expected to be active in the summer window as the club gets to work on supporting new manager Arne Slot.

As we all know, a few new signings wouldn’t go amiss at Anfield after coming up short in the title race and with the likes of Joel Matip and Thiago leaving, there are spaces to be filled.

Of course, there’s also uncertainty over Mo Salah’s long-term future and Liverpool are known to be keeping tabs on potential wide men.

However, according reports, Manchester United could scupper the Reds’ hopes of one potential signing.

Liverpool want Mohammed Kudus but Manchester United now in the mix

Reports over the weekend have suggested that Liverpool are ready to push on in their bid to try and sign Kudus from West Ham.

However, according to a report from The Mirror today, it’s not going to be a simple road to Kudus, with Manchester United now also keen.

It’s claimed in the report that United like the look of both Kudus and Wolves start Matheus Cunha.

Liverpool’s interest in Kudus is mentioned as well, with it suggested he is being eyed as a replacement should Mo Salah depart.

Kudus would be perfect at Liverpool

In terms of a first season in the Premier League, Mohammed Kudus couldn’t have done much more really for West Ham.

He has been so impressive, scoring 14 Premier League goals to impress at the Hammers.

Indeed, such has been the form of Kudus that the Football Observatory now puts Kudus as being valued higher than Napoli superstar, Victor Osimhen.

West Ham will want big money to sell Kudus but at first glance, he looks ideal for the Reds.

Young, quick, powerful in possession and with an eye for goal. Under Arne Slot, Kudus could well flourish.
