The Ukrainian military has not yet observed any intensification of enemy activity towards Zolochiv in the Kharkiv region. This city is located approximately 40 km from Kharkiv and 25 km from the border with Russia, reports Yurii Povkha, spokesperson for the Operative and Tactical Group Kharkiv.

"The military operates only on facts. Currently, there is no enemy activity in the Zolochiv direction. However, the Defense Forces are always prepared and await any actions from the enemy on all fronts," the spokesperson stated.

According to him, as of this morning, battles are ongoing towards the populated areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia in the Kharkiv direction. Enemy losses in the past day in this direction amount to 115 wounded or killed.

The spokesperson noted that the Russians are employing small-group tactics under artillery cover for their attacks.

Since May 10, Russian occupiers have been attempting to breach the defenses of Ukrainian defenders in the northern Kharkiv region. The Russians have reached Vovchansk and control approximately 30% of its territory, but have not advanced further.

Earlier, Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, noted that the Russians were expected to launch an offensive from the Sumy direction as well, and this threat is still under consideration.

According to Syniehubov, there are concerns that the enemy may intensify their actions in the Zolochiv direction.
