Arsenal set 'clear' deadline to finalise Benjamin Sesko transfer as his stance is revealed

Arsenal have reportedly set a deadline for when they want to complete the signing of Benjamin Sesko with the striker’s stance on the transfer now known.

The RB Leipzig youngster has been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners this week, with reports even suggesting that Arsenal have already made a bid to sign Sesko after an impressive season with the Bundesliga side.

Likened to Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland, the Slovenia international is regarded as one of the most exciting forwards in all of Europe, with Arsenal clearly interested in signing Sesko ahead of Premier League rivals.

And there is now an exciting development in the north London side’s pursuit of the striker.

Sesko open to Arsenal move with June 14th deadline set

According to German reports via the Mirror, the 21-year-old Leipzig man is keen to join Arsenal, with the Gunners setting a ‘clear’ deadline to bring in the striker before June 14th, the start date of the 2024 Euros.

With Slovenia set to face England in this summer’s competition, Arsenal could reach an agreement for Sesko before his showpiece encounter against the Three Lions, where he could take on future teammates Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice.

Indeed, Sesko bagged 18 goals in all competitions for Leipzig this season as the striker ended the campaign in sensational form, and there’s a real chance that the attacker could be in top form for Slovenia at the Euros.

As a result, Arsenal pushing to get a deal done before the competition starts would be a smart move from the Gunners, with Sesko a player who could see his value skyrocket if he impresses this summer.

Arsenal have the right mindset when it comes to chasing Sesko

Arsenal have made it a habit in the last two summer transfer windows to get deals done as early as possible in order to get new signings integrated before the new season starts.

Last summer saw Kai Havertz and Declan Rice signed before the pre-season tour of the United States as both players became quickly familiar with their new surroundings, a tactic that worked wonders the year before.

And this summer appears to be no different, with Sesko potentially being signed before the start of the Euros an incredibly exciting prospect for Arsenal fans, who could be about to welcome a new signing already.
