Italian Prime Minister confirms Zelenskyy's participation in G7 summit

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will participate in the G7 summit. It was confirmed by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni as Italy will host the Group of Seven.

Italian Prime Minister confirmed that Zelenskyy will participate in the summit of G7 leaders in Apulia.

According to Meloni, the summit will involve at least fifteen countries and international institutions, in addition to the leaders of the G7 and the Pope.

However, the Italian Prime Minister did not specify whether Zelenskyy's participation would be online or in person.

G7 summit

The summit of the Group of Seven leaders will take place in the Italian region of Apulia from June 13-15.

According to the Financial Times, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy may attend the summit in person. Western journalists report that at the summit, Zelenskyy and US President Joe Biden may sign security guarantees between their countries.

It is worth noting that on June 15-16, Ukraine will host a global peace summit in Switzerland. Approximately 106 countries have confirmed their participation. China declined to attend. The US stated they will be present but have not confirmed whether President Joe Biden will attend.
