Corona (Calif.) Centennial three-star wide receiver Cory Butler Jr. has committed to Arizona State, he announced on Sunday afternoon.

He chose the Sun Devils while also holding offers from Arizona, BYU, Washington, Utah and others.

Butler Jr. is the No. 659 overall prospect and No. 102 wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 54 player in California.

Things moved quick for Butler Jr. and the Sun Devils, as he picked up his offer from Kenny Dillingham and Co. on April 26. He took his official visit to Tempe this weekend and is now a part of a top-30 recruiting class.

Sun Devils have No. 3 class in the Big 12

Arizona State’s class now features 13 commitments with the addition of Butler. The class ranks No. 28 in the nation and No. 3 in the Big 12, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Seven prospects pledged to Dillingham and Co. in April, headlined by Pflugerville (Texas) Wiess four-star WR Adrian Wilson and Orange (Calif.) Lutheran four-star tight end AJ Ia. The 6-foot-6 Ia is On3’s No. 4 TE in the cycle, while Wilson is a top-200 recruit overall in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Long Beach (Calif.) Los Alamitos three-star interior offensive lineman Maki Stewart joined the fold last month and is currently the top-ranked three-star committed. Other top commits in the class include Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro three-star athlete Dajon Hinton, San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) J Serra Catholic three-star quarterback Michael Tollefson and Orange Lutheran three-star safety Benjamin Alefaio.
