Ohio State was one of the many high-profile programs that welcomed crucial official visitors to campus this weekend.
The Buckeyes are looking to add to their top-ranked 2025 recruiting class — and they’re now trending to add a top in-state target to the fold, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
On Sunday, On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong logged a pick in favor of the Buckeyes landing Cleveland Villa Angela St Joseph four-star athlete Bo Jackson. The 6-foot playmaker was back in Columbus for his OV and could be the next to join Ryan Day‘s pledge list.
Jackson told Lettermen Row on Sunday that OSU was “at the top” in his recruitment. No program has had him on campus more than the in-state juggernaut, and Day, new RBs coach Carlos Locklyn and Co. continue to make him feel like a top priority.

The likes of Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Oregon and Michigan also made Jackson’s top 12 back in April. He’s already logged an official visit to Athens and is set to make his official to Alabama next weekend. Those schools are in the mix, but look to be chasing the Buckeyes with June underway.
Despite former running backs coach Tony Alford departing OSU for Michigan, things haven’t changed much with Jackson and the Buckeyes, thanks to the smooth transition made by Locklyn — who previously had a relationship with Jackson during his time at Oregon.
“It didn’t change at all,” Jackson previously said of the impact Alford’s departure had on his relationship with OSU. “Coach (Ryan) Day still kept in contact with me until they got a running backs coach. Once they got him, coach Locklyn reached out and then the next week, I was down there talking to coach Locklyn.”
Jackson is being targeted as a running back by Ohio State. He ranks No. 73 overall and No. 4 at the athlete position in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Ohio.
