Hansi Flick open to selling Barcelona wonderkid wanted by Arsenal if two conditions are met

Hansi Flick could now reportedly sell an FC Barcelona wonderkid wanted by Arsenal this summer if two conditions are met.

The Catalan giants are once again on a mission to recoup as much money as possible this transfer window as Barcelona’s financial worries have again been well-publicised following the departure of Xavi Hernandez last month.

With Flick now in the hot seat, the German manager will be tasked with doing as much as he can to raise some capital and to build a squad that can challenge Real Madrid for the La Liga title as well as the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal-linked Mika Faye could be sold for the right fee and buyback clause

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca Atletic wonderkid Mika Faye could be allowed to leave this summer if a good enough offer is made, with the Catalan giants also interested in a buyback clause if the defender is sold.

Arsenal have been linked with the Senegalese centre-back in recent weeks as Mikel Arteta looks to add a young defender to his ranks, with the long-term thinking being the like of Faye could compete with the likes of William Saliba.

Indeed, whilst Faye is yet to make his senior debut for Barcelona, there is plenty of hype surrounding the 19-year-old defender to suggest that the teenager could have the potential to become the real deal in the years to come.

And for Arsenal, signing a youngster like Faye could give Arteta a new project to work on, with the Basque coach already working wonders in developing Saliba since taking over in north London.

Faye could become Arsenal’s next defensive superstar

As mentioned, a young defender is something Arsenal are looking to bring in this summer, with the Gunners clearly keen to build for the future and to develop a backup for their current centre-back options.

And Faye could become the next defensive superstar at Arsenal if the Senegal international joins and develops in north London, with Arteta proving to get the best out of Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Whilst Barcelona’s two requirements might make a deal tricky, Arsenal now hold significant power in the transfer market, and the Gunners could make the signing work if they stick to what they want for Faye.
