Report: Napoli could be open to signing two Arsenal players as part of possible Victor Osimhen deal

Napoli could be open to signing two Arsenal stars should the Gunners step up their interest in Victor Osimhen.

Arsenal are expected to bolster their frontline this summer and Victor Osimhen could be set for a big summer move.

The Napoli star is attracting interest from Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, with claims emerging yesterday that he’s expecting an offer from the Gunners.

Osimhen reportedly has a £102 million release clause in his deal with the Italian giants, making him an expensive option for Arsenal.

But according to Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal have a couple of players who are of interest to Napoli.

Napoli keen on Arsenal duo Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu

With Arsenal recently re-emerging as contenders for Osimhen’s signature, Napoli are also keen on Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

It’s noted that Napoli targeted Tomiyasu in January but the Gunners were unwilling to entertain offers at the time.

As for Smith Rowe, he looks set to leave the Emirates Stadium after struggling for minutes last term.

Osimhen would transform Arsenal’s attack

Kai Havertz has proven he’s capable of leading the line for the Gunners after scoring 14 times last season. But snapping up Osimhen would take Mikel Arteta’s attack to another level.

The Nigerian endured a stop-start season last time out due to a hamstring injury and his involvement in AFCON 2024.

Yet, Osimhen still netted 17 times in 32 appearances, while also providing four assists for teammates.

Arsenal have plenty of players who could head out the door this summer and if they could use one or two to sweeten a deal for Osimhen, it would surely be a no-brainer on their part.

But swap deals are never as straightforward as they appear and of course, it would also require the likes of Smith Rowe and Tomiyasu to be keen on a switch to Naples.
