Report: Galatasaray now want to sign 'outstanding' £26m Tottenham player to join Ndombele

Tottenham are in for another big summer and it looks like they might have a buyer for one player who can definitely leave the club.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has spoken at length about the need to strengthen and freshen the squad up this summer.

That means the Spurs boss wants a number of new signings. But on the flipside, he also wants to move certain players on to trim the squad.

A number of first-teamers are expected to be available, including players like Gio Lo Celso and Oliver Skipp.

And according to a report from Turkey, Galatasaray could now look to take another player off Tottenham’s hands.

Galatasaray keen on signing Emerson Royal from Tottenham

According to Turkish outlet Takvim, league champions Galatasaray are keen on bringing the Brazilian defender into the club.

It’s claimed that Gala want a new right-back and see Royal as the sort of signing who ticks the boxes for them.

Of course, Galatasaray have taken a number of players from England in recent years including Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who has shone on loan this season.

Others, like Wilfried Zaha and Serge Aurier have also played a key role this season as they won the league.

Tottenham paid £26m%20in%20June.) to sign the ‘outstanding’ Royal but he has struggled really since arriving.

A move to Turkey, then, could be a good get out for everyone involved in this one.

Emerson Royal needs to move on

Or more to the point, Tottenham need to move Royal on.

The Brazilian has played his part but the fact is he’s never quite been good enough to deal with the speed and power of the Premier League.

As a right-back, he offers much less than Pedro Porro, while at centre-half, he’s used an emergency option.

Tottenham will do well to get anything near the fee they paid back for Emerson Royal. However, the time has come to move on and a move to Turkey would be a good one for the defender.
