Hudson Man Killed When Motorcycle Crashes Into Disabled Vehicle, Becomes Airborne And Struck By Car

PASCO COUNTY, Fla.- A Hudson man was killed in a crash that happened on SR-52 Sunday at around 9:30 pm.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by a 62-year-old Hudson man was traveling eastbound on SR-52 in the center lane.

Troopers say the man rode up and collided with a Chrysler PT Cruiser west of Pine Forest Drive, which was disabled from a prior crash involving a Hyundai sedan driven by a 46-year-old Miami woman.

The motorcycle then became airborne and traveled into the inside lane, where he was struck by Vehicle 3, a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 16-year-old Hudson male, who was also traveling eastbound on SR-52.

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, while the other two drivers suffered only minor injuries.

The Miami woman was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the PT Cruiser, Kathleen Ann Horner, 67, of New Port Richey, was later arrested by FHP Troopers for DUI and delivered to the Pasco County Jail, where she provided a breath sample of 0.166.
