Ammunition depot catches fire in Belgorod region: Casualties reported

A fire broke out at an ammunition depot in the Belgorod region yesterday, June 2nd. Russian military personnel sustained injuries, according to ASTRA on Telegram.

According to the source, an explosion occurred yesterday near the village of Gremuchii in the Belgorod region at a Russian military camp. It caused a fire at an ammunition depot.

As a result of the ammunition detonation, seven Russian soldiers were injured and have been hospitalized. The preliminary cause of the explosion is careless handling of ammunition.

Journalists specify that the village of Gremuchii is located 60 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Explosions in the Belgorod region

Explosions have repeatedly occurred in the Belgorod region. The local authorities have accused Ukraine of drone attacks and missile strikes.

Additionally, Russian troops have been dropping their own aerial bombs on the Belgorod region, attempting to strike Ukraine.

Recently, the Main Directorate of Intelligence released an intercepted communication in which a resident of the Belgorod region complained about several guided aerial bombs falling in various areas of the region.
