Liverpool are eyeing a summer move for Wharton

Wharton only joined Crystal Palace in January 2024, but he is already a wanted man following a bunch of truly impressive performances.

TBR Football exclusively revealed in May that Liverpool are keeping an eye on the talented young midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.

Fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are all admirers of Wharton, as are Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.

Crystal Palace publicly claim that they want to keep hold of Wharton, but TBR can reveal that Eagles Chairman ‘Steve Parish would ‘find it very hard’ to reject a deal that could see them more than double their money for a player in just six months’.

It will be interesting to see if Wharton will be on the move this summer, but everyone can tell that he’s destined to join a big club one day.
