Tottenham Hotspur in talks to sell 'promising' Antonio Conte signing

Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to sell a ‘promising’ £20m Antonio Conte signing ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou has completely transformed the style since arriving from Celtic last summer and clear progression has been made having finished fifth.

Though, Spurs still have plenty of work to do and will be eager to bolster their ranks in the fast-approaching window.

Like all clubs, they’ll also have to trade and one player could be about to leave.

Tottenham Hotspur in talks to sell Djed Spence

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are in talks to sell Djed Spece to Serie A side Genoa, who are keen to make his loan deal permanent.

The £20m Antonio Conte signing spent the second half of last season on loan there, making 16 appearances in total.

Negotiations are underway between the two clubs and personal terms are also being drawn out, though, any forthcoming deal will depend on the price, as Romano made clear.

Spurs will likely want to recoup most of the £20m they outlaid, which is a hefty fee for the Italian side to pay.

Genoa’s record signing is Andrea Pinamonti, who cost £16.6m, so perhaps a deal closer to £10m would be more feasible.

Tottenham Hotspur could be busy in the window

Indeed, Spurs will be keen to bring in a number of additions this summer but they’re expected to be busy on the outgoing front, too.

Postecoglou has made that abundantly clear and is reportedly willing to move on 10 players, including Richarlison and Yves Bissouma.
