Richarlison issues heartwarming Goodison Park response to Everton's Instagram post

Former Everton forward Richarlison has now shared a heartwarming response in a recent post made by the club on Instagram.

It has now been two years since Richarlison made the move from Goodison Park to north London to join Tottenham Hotspur.

However, it is apparent the former Everton man has now lost his love for the club and the fans as he continues to share his thoughts on the Toffees.

The Brazilian has endured another tricky campaign at Spurs which has seen Richarlison speak out about his personal struggles that saw an outpour of support from the Everton fans.

Richarlison is now playing in one of the world’s best grounds with Spurs having pathed the way for new stadia in the Premier League.

Everton will be hoping to provide their fans with something similar in the Bramley-Moore Dock development.

However, it is apparent Richarlison holds some fond memories from his time at Goodison Park after his recent comment on an Instagram post from the club.

What Richarlison said about Goodison Park

During his time on Merseyside, Richarlison was able to rack up 152 appearances and returned 53 goals and 12 assists.

However, when an offer of £60m landed, the Toffees were left with a big decision to make on whether to cash in on the Brazilian.

Richarlison’s time at Spurs has certainly been mixed with an encouraging run of form this year showing the Lilywhites just what he is capable of.

Typically, in that run of nine goals in 10 games, Richarlison netted a brace against the Toffees at Goodison Park.

The club posted an Instagram reel on the history of Goodison Park with the move to the new stadium scheduled for next year.

And one player to respond to the post was Richarlison with the Spurs forward replying with a four-word message. “I love Goodison Park”, he said.

Although he may now be set to play European football next season with Tottenham, it is apparent Richarlison has not forgotten about the club where he really made a name for himself.

Everton could do with Richarlison back at Goodison Park

Injuries seriously hindered Richarlison’s 2023/24 campaign, but without those niggles, the Brazilian could have returned a seriously impressive campaign in front of goal.

The 27-year-old netted 11 times in the Premier League this season despite spending considerable games on the sideline through injury.

Despite missing games through injury, he was still able to outscore Everton’s best efforts with Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the way.

Had Richarlison not picked up his knee issue this year, who knows what he could have returned after finding himself in such a rich vein of form.

Nevertheless, despite no longer playing for the Toffees, it is clear Richarlison will never forget the love and support which he has been shown from the fans.
