Arteta 'expected' to hand 'unplayable' Hale End talent role in Arsenal first-team in 2024/25

Arsenal are reportedly set to award a Hale End wonderkid a role in the first-team for the 2024/25 season.

The north London side’s academy has been one of the most prosperous in the Premier League in recent years, with Bukayo Saka one of the best attackers in the world and Arsenal’s senior squad littered with Hale End graduates.

With the likes of Mika Biereth thriving out on loan this season, the next generation of Arsenal players is looking rather exciting, with former players Per Mertesacker and Jack Wilshere nurturing the current crop of youngsters.

And one sensation from the academy now looks set for a role in Arsenal’s first-team next season.

Ethan Nwaneri set for more Arsenal chances next season

According to the Athletic, 17-year-old attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri is ‘expected’ to feature more often for Arsenal’s senior squad next season having thrived at Premier League 2 level this year.

Lauded by Wilshere as ‘unplayable’, Nwaneri is widely regarded as one of the best teenage talents in all of Europe and arguably Arsenal’s most exciting academy prospect since Saka.

Having made two senior appearances already for Arsenal, a full promotion to the first-team is due this summer for Nwaneri, who has shown he is way too good for the U-21s this season.

And following this update, there’s a real chance that Nwaneri could be moved out of the academy system and into Mikel Arteta’s squad, with a spot on the pre-season tour seemingly guaranteed, as well.

Nwaneri is more than ready for the Premier League next season

At 17-years-old, Nwaneri’s reputation as one of the best talents in Europe is well-known at this stage, with Arsenal once again counting their stars over what has now come out of their academy.

And next season could see Nwaneri make the leap in becoming a full Premier League player, with the teenager showing this season he is more than good enough to compete amongst the best in England.

With Arsenal also huge fans of Nwaneri and his potential, it would be within the Gunners’ best interest to promote the wonderkid this summer, where the Hale End prospect could thrive with the new challenge.
