Crystal Palace are said to be interested in signing three Arsenal players this summer.
It’s going to be a busy transfer window for the two London clubs. Arsenal will make sales in order to sign new players, while Crystal Palace are expected to bolster their squad to give Oliver Glasner the firepower he needs for the 2024/25 season.
The Eagles have already been linked with moves for Arsenal stars Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson. Now, it has been claimed that they want another Hale End graduate.
Crystal Palace want to sign Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal
Emile Smith Rowe’s Arsenal career hasn’t quite gone to plan.
The Englishman played a big part in Mikel Arteta’s rebuild in his first few years at the Emirates. He was arguably Arsenal’s best player alongside Bukayo Saka back then.
However, after a groin issue that forced him to miss most of the 2022/23 season, Smith Rowe fell down the pecking order and didn’t play a lot in the following campaign either.
That has led to rumours that Arsenal could sell him, and after reports emerged that Fulham want Smith Rowe, a new candidate has emerged for his signature – Crystal Palace.
The Eagles have become one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League under Glasner. They are a joy to watch now and are on the lookout for attack-minded players.
Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Smith Rowe has admirers at Palace, and there is a chance they could make a move for him once the summer transfer window opens.
He told GiveMeSport: “He would be a good signing for Fulham and is one of the players that is likely to leave Arsenal this summer.
“But, there is no way that you would be able to sign a player like that without some sort of competition and I have heard that Crystal Palace might be interested too.”
Six other clubs want Smith Rowe
Smith Rowe is one of the finest talents England have produced in recent years.
The ‘exceptional‘ Englishman has everything in his game. He can score, assist, dribble past players and is also extremely hard-working. He can play in numerous attacking positions as well.
It’s no surprise that Crystal Palace want to sign him, but TBR Football exclusively revealed that clubs like Brighton, Brentford, Fulham and Wolves all want him too.
Aston Villa are also said to be admirers, while there is interest from abroad as well – Serie A giants Napoli are said to be willing to accept Smith Rowe in a deal that would see Victor Osimhen move to the Emirates.
If Arsenal decide to sell Smith Rowe, he will not be short of suitors.
