MTG: Freedom Caucus chair will knife you in the back - just like he did to Trump

Republican firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is urging Virginian Republicans to oust incumbent Virginia congressman and far-right House Freedom Caucus chair Bob Good at the state's primary this month, warning her own party that Good will stab them in the back — "just like he did President Trump."

Greene (R-GA) followed Trump's lead, with both taking to X on Tuesday afternoon to call for Good's ouster in his June 18 Republican primary.

Good is facing a challenge from state Senate member John McGuire, a former U.S. Navy seal who only stepped into office in January.

Trump has made no secret that he's no fan of Good's endorsing his Republican opponent in recent days. On Tuesday, the Trump Campaign's official X account posted a video of the former president urging Virginians to get out and vote for McGuire.

"John is running against Bob Good, who is actually bad for Virginia, and who will stab you in the back like he did me," Trump said in the video."

Greene shared the former president's video, and echoed his statements, addressing "America First Patriots," and saying Good will "stab you in the back just like he did President Trump," a reference to Good's actions after Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts in New York.

"On the same day Pres. Trump was indicted in New York by the corrupt Alvin Bragg, Bob Good tried to kick Pres. Trump when he was down and endorsed against him.

Good's perceived sin: initially endorsing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over Trump days after the former president's indictment in his Manhattan hush money case. (Good later switched his endorsement when DeSantis dropped out of the race.)

After Trump was convicted last week of all 34 charges — making him the first American president in history to be convicted of a felony ‚ the Trump campaign sent a cease-and-desist order to Good's reelection campaign demanding Good's team stop making yard signs and other goods that imply he received Trump's endorsement.

“Producing and displaying materials that give the false impression that President Trump is supportive of your candidacy is a fraud on the voters of the 5th Congressional District,” a Trump presidential campaign attorney wrote in the letter, according to The Washington Post.

“President Trump is very concerned with ensuring that his supporters are not deceived into thinking they are contributing to a candidate — like you — that President Trump does not support.”

X users reacted by figuratively breaking out the popcorn, with one user calling "MAGA infighting" hilarious.

Another tweet lamented that Greene's remarks essentially mean GOP lawmakers have to be loyal to Trump rather than the Constitution, and multiple users compared MAGA to a cult.
