4-star WR Jayvan Boggs cancels USC official visit

Cocoa (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs was initially scheduled to take an official visit to USC on June 7. That visit will no longer occur, Boggs announced on social media.

Boggs has already taken an official visit to UCF (May 31) and has more scheduled for Georgia (June 14) and Missouri (June 21). He decommitted from Ohio State at the end of March.

The 6-foot, 200-pound pass-catcher told On3’s Hayes Fawcett in May that he was down to Georgia, Missouri, UCF and USC. He will announce his commitment on July 4.

Boggs is the No. 216 overall prospect and No. 28 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 31 player in the Sunshine State.

“My recruitment is wide open again and I am hearing everyone out,” Boggs told On3 at the beginning of April. “Over the last few weeks, I talked things over with my parents and decided to back off the commitment to Ohio State, take official visits and find the best place for me.”

“When I commit this time, it will be set in stone and I will be shutting my recruitment down. After being committed to Ohio State, and opening things up, this next decision will be it for me.”

Boggs on UCF, Georgia and Missouri

UCF: “UCF is is the hometown team for me. The staff is building something and they are putting together a top recruiting class. They are working to keep all of the dogs in central Florida.”

Georgia: “What I like the most about Georgia is how Coach Smart and Coach Coley coach. I like their coaching styles. They are on their guys heavy and they want their players to be great. Those are the type of coaches I want to play for.”

Missouri: “I had a good time out there. I saw practice, I have a good relationship with Coach Jacob Peeler and Missouri showed me a lot when I was there.”
