Report: Leeds United one of five clubs interested in 'really fast' Bundesliga winger, could cost £7m

Leeds United have been listed as one of five clubs interested in landing a Bundesliga winger for a bargain fee between £6.8m and £8.5m in the coming months.

The 49ers are set for a busy summer in which they are expected to sell a number of players in order to bring in some much-needed cash, amid reports that The 49ers have inherited a £190m credit card bill.

Crysencio Summerville has interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, Fulham, Bournemouth and West Ham. Palace could bring him in as a replacement for Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, who are rated at fees of £60m.

Newcastle are also interested having discussed him internally, and Willy Gnonto wants to go back to Serie A. It means Leeds will need a winger this summer and they are in the race for a “really fast” Stuttgart star.

Indeed, German newspaper BILD say Leeds are one of five clubs interested in 25-year-old DR Congo star Silas. It is believed he has been discussed in Leeds’ plans, but The Whites face stiff competition for him.

Leeds one of five clubs interested in Stuttgart winger Silas

The report says that French side Lens are interested, while Auxerre are also keen on luring him to France. Fulham are willing to take a chances on winger Silas in the Premier League, as are La Liga outfit Villarreal.

The report also states that German side Stuttgart are looking for a fee between £6.8m and £8.5m to land the African ace who helped DR Congo reach the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Given Leeds are in the Championship, you would imagine that the Yorkshire side are going to struggle to convince Silas to join The Whites. Especially, with the Premier League, Ligue 1 and La Liga interested.

Silas stats during 2023-24 campaign with Stuttgart are impressive

Silas only started nine of 30 appearances in all competitions last season with Stuttgart, coming on as a sub in 21 others. But even then, Silas has still managed to have a hand in 13 goals throughout 2023-24.

While his stats might not initially jump out off the page, the fact he has got those numbers in cameo roles for Stuttgart deserves praise. Silas has huge potential to be a bargain at less than £9m for those keen.
