Sky Sports name Rangers as suitors for exciting Bayern Munich wing prospect

Rangers have been linked with several exciting new signings from across Europe and further afield.

A primary area is on the wing and Philippe Clement is said to have his eye on another capable of providing balance to the newly re-signed Oscar Cortes.

It is another player who Rangers will be hoping to develop and sell on but also one who is used to the big team environment having been at Bayern Munich through his whole youth career.

Rangers target Bayern Munich prospect Yusuf Kabadayi

Yusuf Kabadayi is a right-footed, left winger who can play on the opposite flank or centrally.

He has just finished a season on loan at Schalke and contributed five goals in 26 appearances during his first season playing senior football.

At 6ft 1 inches tall, Kabadayi has an athletic presence and, at 20-years old, has plenty of room for improvement.

According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Rangers, along with Lecce and St Pauli are keeping tabs on the young winger’s situation.

“Glasgow Rangers, St. Pauli, and Lecce are among the concrete suitors for the 20 y/o left winger from FC Bayern!

“Schalke 04 were interested in exercising their option to buy; however, the overall package was too expensive.

“Meanwhile, talks are ongoing with Bayern, with Eberl and Freund.

“Everything is possible: A direct sale, loan with an option to buy, a loan with a new contract with Bayern. Currently valid until 2025.”

Rangers in good position to make Kabadayi bid

Now is the time for Bayern to sell, if Kabadayi doesn’t sign an extension to his current contract and Rangers will be hoping that a bargain can be struck for a player who hasn’t quite made the grade in the Bundesliga.

It is refreshing to see another young, fast, energetic player linked with the club and it is clear that recruitment is heading in a totally different direction under Nils Koppen.

All he has to do now, is persuade more of them to sign.
