Germany does not plan to send its military to Ukraine. The German government is not discussing such a matter, states Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius.

Pistorius participated in government hearings at the Bundestag. Rüdiger Lucassen, a member of the right-wing radical party Alternative for Germany, asked him whether the German government was informed about the debates on sending troops to Ukraine in the EU and France and whether officials in Germany were considering such a possibility.

"The answer to your question is both no and no," emphasized the Minister of Defense.

The question of sending Western troops to Ukraine was first raised by French President Emmanuel Macron. He stated that such a possibility cannot be ruled out.

At the same time, several weeks ago, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, spoke about France's decision to send military instructors to Ukraine. The French Ministry of Defense clarified that the issue is still under discussion.

Later, information appeared in the media that President Emmanuel Macron wants to create a coalition of military instructors in Ukraine to train Ukrainian defenders.
