2024 NCAA Super Regional Odds: Betting lines released for Georgia vs. NC State to advance to College World Series

Following an electric Regional round of the NCAA Tournament, the stage is officially set for the Super Regionals this weekend. As 16 teams will compete in respective three-game series with hopes of punching a ticket to the College World Series in Omaha.

The No. 10 seed NC State Wolfpack will be traveling down to Athens to take on the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs in one of the most exciting matchups of the Supers after both teams completed clean 3-0 sweeps against their opponents in the previous round of the NCAA Tournament.

FanDuel Sportsbook recently released the betting odds for each of the eight Super Regionals across the country, also representing each team’s chances of being one of the eight in the College World Series. Check out the odds for Georgia and NC State in the Athens Super Regional below.

2024 NCAA Athens Super Regional Odds

Georgia: -146NC State: +114

The Bulldogs open up as home favorites for the Supers, and rightfully so after boasting an impressive 32-5 record at Foley Field this season. Also specializing in the long ball this season after ranking third in college baseball with 145 homers on the season. Led by SEC Player of the Year Charlie Condon who leads the nation in batting average, hits, and home runs.

On the flip side, the Wolfpack have struggled on the road this season with a 7-12 away from their home field. But are fresh off of an impressive Raleigh Regional performance where they outscored their three opponents 20-9 to advance to the Super Regionals for the sixth time in program history. Led by the Raleigh Regional’s most outstanding player Alec Makarewicz who posted six hits, five RBIs, and a home run in three games.

NC State eliminated top-ranked Arkansas in the 2021 Fayetteville Super Regional in their last Supers appearance. And Georgia’s 8-6 win over Georgia Tech in extra innings on Sunday advanced them to their first Super Regional since 2008.

In that season the Bulldogs also defeated the Yellow Jackets to advance to a Supers matchup against NC State. Defeating the Wolfpack 2-1 in the series to advance to the College World Series where they were runners-up.

2008’s Super Regional rematch between Georgia and NC State beings this Friday at noon ET with Game 1 airing on ESPNU.
