Ogun State government warns public against fake recruitment advert

The Ogun State Government on Wednesday warned the public against an online recruitment advert on vacancies in the state’s Civil Service Commission.

The chairman of the commission, Tokunbo Odebunmi, in a statement signed by the commission’s permanent secretary, Roseline Jacobs, said the publication was a mischief, perpetrated by individuals, bent on maligning the image of the state government.

Jacobs noted that the commission would not recruit via online but through its headquarters at Block A, New Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The commission, in the statement urged members of the public to disregard the online publication in order not to fall victim.

“The said online advert was reported to have called on prospective applicants to apply for various vacancies in the state’s civil service. The publication was a mischief, perpetrated by some unscrupulous individuals, bent on maligning the image of the state government.

“The general public should be wary of such propaganda and disregard the online publication in its entirety, in order not to fall victim, ” the statement reads.
