Longtime rap artist 50 Cent emerged on social media on Wednesday in a bizarre way: posing for a photo at the Capitol building with far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).

"Lauren Boebert, Colorado Republican making the white house look good," he posted to X, showing the photo of the two standing together.

He was quickly deluged in confused and mocking posts in reaction to the picture, with some commentators on the platform noting that he apparently didn't even know the difference between the Capitol and the White House.

"This is why I don’t pay rappers any attention when it come to politics," wrote the account @reesetheone1.

"Lmfao, even @50cent is telling you he’s got his date for tonight," wrote @VolckersThesis, a self-described "DeSantis Republican." "Colorado is getting played, @laurenboebert is a fraud and is in DC specifically for this."

"What’s up with washed up rappers and endorsing far-right politicians?" wrote the account @CrazyNormie.

"God it must be incredible to be rich and just never have to think about anything ever again," wrote the account @MoronFunctional.

Boebert, a hardliner who has alienated much of the GOP caucus with her antics, has been caught in a number of recent personal scandals, most notably an incident in which she was ejected from a musical performance in Denver for vaping and groping her date in front of families. At least some commenters referenced that incident, with @blairsocci remarking, "Prob thinking which matinee they can go to."
