Fire at infrastructure facility in Khmelnytsky region due to Russian attack

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility due to a Russian attack during the night of June 6, according to Serhii Tiurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.

"Last night, our air defense forces shot down one enemy Shahed drone. In addition, as a result of the attack, a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility in one of the settlements of the region," he said.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, all relevant services are working at the scene, and the fire is being extinguished by State Emergency Service personnel.

"There are no injured or dead," added Tiurin.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

On the night of June 6, Russian forces shelled Ukrainian territory again, using both drones and ballistic missiles.

Around 1:00 AM, an air raid alert was declared in parts of Ukraine, with the military warning of the threat of kamikaze drones. Explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia.

Later, the Air Force reported that Russia launched two ballistic missiles and 18 Shahed-type attack drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 17 out of 18 UAVs.
