Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to arrive in the German capital Berlin next Tuesday, June 11, where he is scheduled to address the Bundestag, according to the German edition FAZ.

It is noted that a conference on the restoration of Ukraine will take place in Berlin on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11 and 12, respectively. Among the organizers of this event is the Federal Foreign Office. There were speculations in the press that the Ukrainian president may attend the conference.

Regarding a possible meeting between Zelenskyy and the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany during his visit to the country, the publication of the German edition does not indicate anything.

If the President of Ukraine arrives in Berlin next week, his potential address to the German parliament personally in the Bundestag would be the first time.

Indeed, the last time Zelenskyy addressed the Bundestag with a virtual speech was on March 17, 2022.

For a possible speech by the Ukrainian president, German parliamentarians would now have to convene for an extraordinary session.

The FAZ edition quoted the words of the head of the German-Ukrainian parliamentary group Robin Wagener (Greens) about the possibility of speaking in the highest parliament of Germany, would be an important sign of our solidarity and friendship with Ukraine and an expression of our respect for the country's achievements.
