Switzerland will provide financial assistance to Ukraine worth more than $60 million for digitalizing public services, according to the Swiss government.

At a meeting on June 7, the Swiss Federal Council decided to continue supporting Ukraine in digitalization and e-governance.

The country will allocate 58.7 million Swiss francs (over $64 million) for Ukraine over the next four years. The funds are for projects in the regions affected by the war. Key areas will include healthcare, education, and humanitarian demining.

According to the Swiss government, digitalization increases the transparency of public services, which in turn is crucial for Ukraine's reconstruction.

Switzerland will announce its support at the next Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC), which will take place on June 11-12 in Berlin.

Switzerland has given a positive response to the Ukrainian app and public service portal Diia. The project was implemented through the E-Governance for Accountability and Participation (EGAP) program, which promotes the digital transformation of Ukrainian governance and has been supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) since 2015.

A Ukrainian government delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology – Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov recently visited Switzerland.
