Switzerland mobilizes 4000 soldiers to secure Peace Summit regarding Ukraine

The Swiss Army will mobilize 4,000 military personnel to assist with security at the Peace Summit organized by Ukraine on June 15-16, according to El Mundo.

According to El Mundo, the Swiss army mobilized approximately 4,000 military personnel starting from Monday. They will assist in ensuring security for the Peace Summit regarding Ukraine, which will take place on June 15-16 in the Swiss city of Bürgenstock. The Summit is expected to be attended by leaders from 160 countries.

The military, operating until June 19, will support the police in tasks such as protecting critical infrastructure, monitoring airspace, and logistics.

Additionally, the Swiss government announced that certain airspace restrictions will be in place in the Summit area from June 13 to 17. This will affect non-commercial flights and the operation of drones and other unmanned aircraft. The area will be continuously patrolled by F/A-18 fighter jets.

Peace Summit

The Summit will take place from July 15 to 16 in Switzerland. It is planned to discuss the issues of the Ukrainian peace formula. Representatives from 106 countries around the world have confirmed their participation in the Summit.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, despite the preparation for the Summit, there are countries that are helping Russia to disrupt the future Peace Summit in Switzerland.
