Prince Harry absent from wedding as 'feud' with William continues: 'Cannot be in the same room together!'

Royal Commentator Michael Cole has claimed Prince William and Prince Harry "cannot be in the same room together" following the Duke of Sussex's notable absence from today's wedding of a close friend.

In a service at Chester Cathedral, Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, married partner Olivia Henson, with the Prince of Wales taking on the role of usher at the ceremony.

The Duke is the Godfather to both Harry's son Prince Archie and Prince William's son George.

Discussing Prince Harry's absence, Cole revealed that the royal feud between the brothers is still ongoing and they "cannot be in the same room together", and that the situation is "hellishly embarrassing" for the princes.

Cole told hosts Ben Leo and Nana Akua: "Prince Harry's been on the phone to Hugh Grosvenor, and they've both decided, all things considered, that it might be better if the younger brother stays away in case."

The former Royal Correspondent also revealed that if Prince Harry had attended the ceremony in Cheshire, Prince William would have "had to show Harry to his seat in the Cathedral".

Cole explained: "It would be hellishly embarrassing. Prince William has to show Prince Harry to his seat in the congregation.

"It's not almost on the case of the Jack Kennedy's wedding to Jacqueline Bouvier, where her father, 'Black Jack' Bouvier, was so drunk he couldn't be allowed to go to the wedding."

However, Cole noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will most likely "be wishing the new bride and groom well" despite not attending.

He said of Prince Harry and Meghan's absence from the wedding: "It's just a diplomatic solution of a difficult family problem.

"And I'm quite sure from afar, from California in the hilltop Camelot of Montecito, both Harry and his lovely wife will be wishing well to the newly married couple."

Host Nana Akua shared her thoughts on Harry's decision not to attend and said it was "sad" that he cannot join William for the royal wedding.

She admitted: "It is sad, really. How about they just grow up and get over it?"

Reporting live from the royal wedding, GB News Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker detailed the key elements of the ceremony, and revealed that it has been named the "society wedding of the year".

Cameron told Nana and Ben: "Olivia Henson, his bride to be and by the end of play today will be the new Duchess of Westminster.

"The King is also not going to be here. Of course, he's still undergoing cancer treatments and it's been a busy week for him with the D-Day celebrations both in Portsmouth and Normandy.

"The Duke of Westminster has also effectively payed for all the ice cream in the area, so locals can join in the celebration."
